The Danny McDaid 15k was completed today, and the event was well attended, with athletes from across the Northwest putting in some impressive performances.

First across the finish line was Declan Reid of City Of Derry AC, with a time of 48.04. The event saw the top spots all taken by representatives of City Of Derry, although a trio of Donegal exponents took 8th, 9th, and 10th.

Chris Johnston and Pauric Mc Kinney of Letterkenny AC came in 8th and 9th respectively, whilst Finn Valley AC’s Chris Mc Guinness came in 10th.

The event was a great success, and is the building blocks for many athletes preparing for longer and bigger events. With a turnout of over 230, the event was certainly a great competition.
