Menswear shop The Craze in the centre of Donegal Town is to close its doors after eight years of trading.
Owned and run by Mark Craze, the shop was known for stocking up-to-date ranges of men’s branded fashion, from suits for every occasion to quality shirts, jeans and casual wear. The proprietor was always on hand to offer advice to men shopping for clothes – and indeed, to women shopping on behalf of the men in their lives.
Mr Craze told the Donegal Post that a number of factors led to the decision to close. Most significant were the effects of Brexit and the subsequent fall in the value of sterling, and the trend of online or out-of-town shopping.
The shop will cease trading at the end of January.
