Once again final preparations are being put in place to create the most magical atmosphere in Donegal Town for the annual “Switch On” of Donegal Town Christmas Lights taking place on Thursday, November 29 at 7.30 pm.

The “Switch On” wouldn’t be complete without visits from the big man himself Santa Claus and his many merry friends.

As Santa’s reindeers are still in training for Christmas Eve he will be making the very special journey to Donegal Town on his sleigh drawn by his extra helpers – 4 little ponies.

In conjunction with the Official Christmas Lights Switch On businesses in Donegal Town are creating wonderful festive window displays to attract shoppers and visitors alike to the town over the Festive Season.

Chairperson Donegal Town Community Chamber Bernie Mulhern said: “With all the Festive activities taking place next weekend; Donegal Town promises to be most Christmassy place in the County. The twinkling lights and decorated shop windows will create a magical experience for all who visit the area.”
