A Donegal man along with his family took part in the recent Irish Kidney Association’s ‘Run for a Life’ family fun run.

Members of the inspiring Transplant Team Ireland who will participate in the 10th European Transplant & Dialysis Games in Cagliari, Sardinia next month showed for the fun run including newcomer to the team and dialysis patient Verina Borissova from Bulgaria and now living in Tallaght, Dublin.

Team member and kidney transplant recipient Kieran Murray and his family travelled from Ramelton to enjoy the day out.

The ‘Run for a Life’ family fun run was open to people of all ages and levels of fitness who could choose to walk, jog or run in the chip timed event, which offered prizes for winners in a choice of chip timed c2.5km, 5km and 10km distances.
