During August 2018 Kabosh presents Beckett’s final play in a secret location in Fermanagh, and a
reading of Friel’s ‘Three Sisters’ with a stellar line up of actors including cast members from
Channel 4’s ‘Derry Girls’!
Kabosh is delighted to be working with Arts Over Borders to present two shows this August in
Fermanagh and Derry.

As part of the 6th Happy Days International Beckett Festival Kabosh will stage Beckett’s final play
‘What Where’, an enigmatic exploration of the power of information and disinformation. Taking
place August 2nd – 5th the performance will happen in a secret location in Fermanagh. Audiences
board a bus at Enniskillen Castle and are whisked to an unusual setting where the tense narrative
unfolds before their eyes.
This year’s Lughnasa FrielFest sees Kabosh present a reading of Brian Friel’s much loved translation
of ‘Three Sisters’ by Chekov in the Foyle Arts Centre on 18th & 19th August. This reading features a
stellar line up of 14 actors, including Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell and Terry Keely
from Channel 4’s celebrated show ‘Derry Girls’. This event brings Friel’s ‘Three Sisters’ back to Co.
Derry, where it was first performed in the Guildhall in 1981.
Paula McFetridge, Artistic Director of Kabosh, says “Kabosh is thrilled to be working with Arts Over
Borders on two powerful productions. Both feature talented Ulster actors sharing the renowned
language of two great playwrights. The festival programme this year, as ever, is bursting with
beautiful and innovative events that truly offer something for everyone”
‘What Where’ takes place Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th August (various times) with buses departing
from Enniskillen Castle. Tickets are £12, including all transport.
‘Three Sisters’ takes place on Saturday 18th August 12pm, 6pm and Sunday 19th August 2pm in Foyle
Arts Centre. Tickets are £15, including refreshments.
