Kee's Hotel struck gold this month, winning the CIE Tours Award for Best Overall Hospitality and Service at a ceremony in the State Apartments of Dublin Castle.
This glamorous event was attended by senior industry figures throughout Ireland and was presented by CIE Chairperson Vivienne Jupp, with President Brian Stack and Board Member Peter Malone.

Winning Awards of Excellence seems to have become a habit over the last 14 years for this family-owned establishment, where glittering mementos of achievements adorn the Reception area. But this recent success was something special in that Kee’s Hotel gained a top review as part of a survey that considered three, four and five star properties across Ireland. Conducted annually by CIE Tours, the Awards are based on the feedback from the tour operator’s international visitors to Ireland, through client satisfaction surveys.
“Winning such industry recognition is always so important to us, even after 14 years," said Vicky Kee. "We have a terrific team at Kee’s Hotel, sometimes generations from the same local families. It’s wonderful to see their hard work and professionalism recognized by this Hospitality and Service Award."
Keeping up this long tradition of hospitality is important to Vicky whose family have had a business presence in the town since 1892. Now into their fourth generation of hotel-keeping, the Kee family will celebrate 125 years of ownership in 2017 – something which did not go unnoticed by TG4 who recently documented the hotel’s story as part of their ‘Rúin na nÓstán’ series, due to be broadcast at the end of April.
