Following the great success of lasts year’s 5K, the organising committee will again host their event at Killymard this Friday, August 15. And a significant date this is as it marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of St Mary’s Church at Killymard.

A large group took part in last year’s event, which travels a route around The Haugh onto Drumeenagh and offers a stunning view of Donegal Town at Drumrooske before returning to Killymard.

This year’s event commences at 6.45pm for registration at Killymard Chapel with the walk/run kicking off at 7pm. There will be tea and refreshments for all back at the church on completion of the 5K. There is an entry fee of €5/adult, €2/child or €10/family.

So if you feel like a challenging run, a brisk walk or a leisurely stroll then come along to Killymard on Friday, where you will be made feel very welcome.
