A HSE Breastfeeding Preparation Class is being run by Public Health Nurses for all pregnant woman and their partners in Donegal.
The class will take place on Wednesday, September 5 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the Conference Room in the Primary Care Centre, Stranorlar.
This session will provide participants with practical information on various aspects of breastfeeding.
Our aim is to help women learn and understand more about breastfeeding in an informal relaxed environment.
Some of the topics covered will include breastfeeding in the early days, the importance of colostrum, tips for positioning and attachment, a demonstration of various breastfeeding positions and an introduction to hand expressing.
Women will have an opportunity to ask questions and group interaction will be encouraged.
