Tonight, August 7th, will see the second edition of the Round the House Race take place in Ballyshannon.

Staged as part of Ballyshannon Folk Festival week, the first edition of the race last year proved a great hit with competitors and spectators alike despite the poor conditions on the night.

Once again, the race will be run on a 6km circuit in and around Ballyshannon Town with cyclists making the journey up the hill in Ballyshannon seven times for a total distance of 42km.

Organisers are hoping that the crowds will be back again this year to cheer on the cyclists, and perhaps the loudest cheer will once again be reserved for the man whose brainchild this event is, Terry McIntyre.

The Round the House Race gets underway at 7.00pm with registration at the Lakeside Centre, Belleek Road from 6.15pm - 6.45pm.
