Declan Bonner's Donegal have one foot in the Ulster Senior Football Championship Final.

At half-time in this afternoon's semi-final in Clones, they lead Down by 1-12 to 0-7.

In a lively opening period before an attendance of over 12,000, Donegal raced into a 1-7 to no score lead despite losing Neil McGee to a straight red card early in the game.

Leo McLoone got the Donegal goal.

Down eventually opened their account, through Caolan Mooney, after 25 minutes to leave them trailing by 1-8 to 0-1.

The Mourne men then enjoyed a better spell and scored four points in a row.

But Donegal went in at the break leading by eight points.

And they were good value for their lead having played some final football in the opening quarter.

The winners face Rory Gallagher's Fermanagh in the final.
