Tyrone have won today's Ulster Senior Football Championship Final.

They proved to be too strong for gallant Down and won 2-17 to 0-15 in Clones.

Padraig Hampsey got the opening score for Tyrone in a closely fought first half that ended with Mickey Harte's charges leading 0-7 to 0-5.

Any chances of a Down fightback were soon in doubt early in the second half as Tyrone soon got on top.

Ronan O'Neill got the two Tyrone goals.

Tyrone were impressive again this afternoon.

In the semi-final they beat Donegal 1-21 to 1-12 having beaten Derry 0-22 to 0-11 in the quarter-finals.
