Donegal lost out against Galway today in the final series of matches in the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division One.

The score in Corofin was:

Galway 2-13

Donegal 0-10

Galway may have got the better of things in this league encounter but both sides were already through to the semi-finals.

In fact, they will now meet each other again in one of the semi-finals in a fortnight's time.

The game will be at a neutral venue.

Dublin will face Cork in the other semi-final.

This was Galway's sixth win from seven games in the competition.

Captain Karen Guthrie was once again to the fore and got all six of Donegal's scores but they trailed 2-8 to 0-6 at half-time.

Donegal hung in for much of the second half and will feel that the final scoreline was a bit flattering for the home side.
