The Donegal Ladies are out of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.

This afternoon at O'Connor Park in Tullamore, they were beaten by Mayo.

If finished, Mayo 1-22, Donegal 3-12.

Having lost to Tyrone last Sunday in Group 4, this was a must win game for Donegal.

But they came up short and so Mayo and Tyrone go into the quarter-finals.

The Maxi Curran managed side led by 2-6 to 0-10 at half-time.

But Mayo put on a fine performance in the second half and in the end won by four points.

Karen Guthrie got 2-4 as Donegal battled to the end and they even had a late goal disallowed.
