Over 30,000 people have signed a petition since it was launched a few weeks ago by the Irish Farmers' Journal.
The Save Our Suckler campaign is really gathering momentum.
Suckler numbers have fallen considerably in recent years - and there are real fears that a further decline will have a knock on effect in many counties like Donegal.
The first of nine nationwide meetings organised by the Irish Farmers' Journal in conjunction with the Irish Farmers' Association was in Carndonagh on Tuesday night, and featured a number of speakers.
