Half way through a massive ongoing five year rolling investment plan, cinemagoers, young and old, are all smiles with the latest innovations taking place at Century Cinemas in Letterkenny.

The cinema experience has never been more exciting or ‘real’. And while people talk about DVDs, netflix and Sky Movies, the real deal is clear to be seen when you enter a 21st century experience like Century.

Digital projection installation was completed in all screens last year and cinema goers have already been seeing the benefits.

Mark Doherty of Century Cinemas said, “Four of our eight cinemas are now completely renovated and with new rocker style seats and New Dolby 7.1 surround sound installed, the epic cinema experience has never been more realistic. We have new screens, new floor and wall covering and Screens 1 & 6 will be complete in September.

Mark explained, “This is our way of reflecting our continued confidence in Letterkenny and County Donegal. The country has had some dark days on the economic front, but there is light out there and our customers reflect that increased confidence. We want their cinematic experience to be truly memorable and that is why we are striving to give as good an experience, than anywhere else in the cinematic world.

Century has gone from strength to strength and has added a new member to the Century family with the introduction of its sister company Century Ice in 2013.

But it would not all be possible without the most important supporters.

“We are also most grateful for the continued support we have received from the people of Letterkenny and County Donegal over the last 75 years and since 2001 at Leck View Lane. By investing in our future, cinema goers can be reassured that we want nothing but the best for them.”
