Donegal consumers are being urged to check out the best deals for electricity prices.

In one recent survey some 90% of Irish consumers felt there is no reward for loyalty in the Irish energy market.

The latest One Big Switch campaign revealed that 41% of consumers have still been with their energy retailer for more than three years.

OneBigSwitch.ie is currently campaigning to unlock a Group Discounted offer from energy retailers using the power of Group Switching in an effort to lower the cost of household bills.

These campaigns are designed and executed to help shake consumers  out of the apathy tree, and educate them on  the benefit of shopping around to see if they can save.

Speaking about the findings, Director of Campaigns for OneBigSwitch.ie, Sarah Ryan said "There are always incentives in the market to attract new customers however there is a large cohort of consumers who are loyal and are not passed on the benefits of discounts.  These customers deserve to be rewarded. Where that is not happening consumers should explore the option of switching to another provider as those who do not switch are more likely to pay more."

OneBigSwitch.ie uses the people power of its members to negotiate better offers for household essentials. Consumers can join the Big Energy Switch cost and obligation free at www.OneBigSwitch.ie. Registration closes at midnight on 17th April 2015.
