Householders in Donegal have been left in the dark after the ravages of a code Orange weather front named Storm Hector moved across the county in the early hours of this morning, Thursday June 14th

Ballyshannon is the latest part of the county to go without electricity where an estimated 500 customers are without electricity. This occurred shortly after 3am.

A little earlier some 1,600 customers were affected in Bundoran but this issue now appears to have been rectified.

A small number of households in the Gweedore area were also affected while another 500 customers were without electricity in the Moville area.

it has also been reported that a small number of customers have been affected in the Dungloe area.
