Donegal’s first ever inter-generational choir, Ceol le Chéile Choir of Ages, has serenaded Australia via the airwaves.

Ceol le Chéile’s talented Inishowen contingent: Christine Carlin (Redcastle), Bríd Ewing (Newtowncunningham), Eileen Farrelly (Moville) and Anna Connolly (Moville), joined their colleagues at the event in St Mary’s Church, Stranorlar.

The choir sang for the Antipodeans in four languages: Gaeilge, Latin, German and English.

The concert was broadcast live in Australia and according to Soprano, Christine Carlin, they were “on cloud nine” to be able to wish everyone down under “a Happy and Holy Christmas.”

Ceol le Chéile, once more took to the ‘stage’ under their charismatic choral director, Veronica McCarron, who memorably led the Presentation School Choir, Kilkenny, on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016.
