It’s that time of year again when people flock from all across Ireland and beyond for the unique event that is Sea Sessions.

The festival combines all that Bundoran has to offer in terms of surfing and great music venues with a quality line-up of international acts.

This year Sea Sessions runs from June 19 to 21. Some of the big names taking to the stage are Seasick Steve, Example & DJ Wire, Maverick Sabre, Sigma, The Riptide Movement, Jape, The Minutes and Lee Scratch Perry to name but a few.

A new feature this year is the ‘Whelan’s Ones To Watch.’ Building on the success of the Unsigned Sessions that has seen the likes of The Riptide Movement and Booka Brass Band, the Sea Sessions team are delighted to introduce this new feature for 2015.

A spokesperson said: “Sea Sessions firmly believes in supporting upcoming bands and this is the perfect platform for them to showcase their talents with at least six slots, two on the festival main site and the rest in official Sea Sessions bars across Bundoran town.”

Whelan’s head booker Dave Allen is very excited about the partnership.

"Whelan’s are thrilled to be involved in helping find new talent through our Ones To Watch Festival,” he said. “Sea Sessions is a great outlet to help build a new band’s following. We can't wait to get on the Factor 50 and get involved.”

Now in its eighth year, Sea Sessions is firmly established on the Irish festival calendar and is a great boost for Bundoran and the north-west.
