Cut-backs are hitting people in Letterkenny like never before, according to one of the town’s longest serving politicians.
Speaking at monthly meeting of Letterkenny Town Council, Cllr. Victor Fisher (Ind) said: “I have been out canvassing and I have never seen so much hardship; I have never seen anything like it.”
He said that he had become aware of medical cards being taken off people suffering from cancer and people in wheelchairs.
“It’s a disgrace, it’s very sad to see it,” he added.
