A concerned dog owner took to Facebook earlier this evening to explain that her missing puppy had been found in an oil tank, after being lifted from her garden by four young men this morning.
Shannon Lynch earlier shared a post asking for the public’s help in locating her Alaskan Malamute 12 week old puppy, Skye, who was lifted from the Glencar area of Letterkenny.
Shannon spoke to Donegal Now and explained that after informing the guards of the incident, it didn’t take them long to get the puppy back to her.
She said “There was a group of young lads who would be known in the area and one of them knocked on my door yesterday asking if any of my dogs were going for free and I thought nothing of it, I just said no and locked my doors.
“I put her outside this morning and went back out around 10am to feed her and she was gone. There's nowhere in the garden she could have escaped from so she had to have been lifted over our back wall.
“We had the name for one of the lads so I contacted the guards and they knew exactly who he was and were to find him. The guards were fantastic and it didn’t take them long to find Skye after I passed on the information.”
She explained that the puppy was pretty shaken up after being returned to her.
Shannon said “The guards found my poor puppy locked in an oil tank. There's plenty C.C.T.V in the area so I’m hoping that all of them will be identified so something like this doesn’t happen again. ”
