Dog owners are being urged to take responsibility for their pet’s droppings by a resident from Whitehill in Muff.

The resident claimed a number of people walking their dogs in the area have left the road in a  “disgraceful state” with dog foul littering the way.

He said he encountered over 50 piles of dog waste in one day at Whitehill and when he went out walking the following day there were over 20 fresh piles of dog dirt.

He appealed to all dog owners in Whitehill to carry disposal bags and place them in the local bins. He pointed out that it was not only unsightly to all those using the area but it carried health hazards to children and others.
