Donegal County Council has been awarded an additional €441,000 under the Community Enchancement Programme.
It brings to €600,500 the total allocated to the Council by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, following on from €159,400 awarded in May this year.
The latest award is part of af €8 million package announced today by Minister Ring for the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) which supports disadvantaged communities throughout the country by providing capital grants to community groups.
Minister Ring (pictured) said the additional funding has been allocated in a way that takes deprivation levels into account.
He added: "I am confident that those communities who need it most, whether in cities, towns or rural areas, will benefit.”
