A Donegal startup company has won a top award at a major ceremony.

CloudRanger, based in the CoLab., Letterkenny, took the 'Startup of the Year Award at the Tech Excellence Awards 2017 which were held in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.

An expert panel of judges recognised CloudRanger’s incredible year-on-year 5,000% growth, the launching of innovative new software and significant investment in growing the team in Ireland and the new office in Chicago.

The Tech Excellence awards recognise excellence in the design, implementation and support of technology solutions and services.

The Startup Award 2017 recognises the most promising new technology business in Ireland.

CloudRanger is unique in that it addresses the current automation needs of users of cloud computing as well as anticipating future needs; particularly with regard to the wide range of both repetitive tasks such as backup and switching servers on and off, as well as the future demand for company-specific tasks as organisations migrate more and more of their processes to the cloud.

Within five years, CloudRanger has grown to employ 20 staff, with an established re-seller platform and an extensive consultancy division.

With minimal funding, CloudRanger has secured a number of international clients spanning Ireland, UK, New Zealand, UK and US, the company’s aim is to be a leading international provider of cross-cloud automation software.
