One of Donegal’s most talented and respected DJs has landed a plum spot with iRadio.

Reuben Keeney, from Letterkenny, has already made quite a name for himself on dance music scene and he is also highly rated songwriter and producer.

And now this new position will catapult him onto the national airwaves.

His debut show will be launched tonight, Saturday, St. Patrick’s Night.

And every Saturday, “Reuben Keeney & Outhouse” will play the best in House and Techno plus featuring live recorded mixes and interviews from Outhouse events.

The show will be on every Saturday from 10.00 pm until midnight.

The first hour of the show will be live,” Keeney told the Letterkenny Post.

But the second hour will feature an hour of music from the Fifth Avenue nitecluh in Letterkenny’s Orchard Inn which will be recorded from the previous Sunday.

He reckons that this format should be “quite fun” and the fact that it will be recorded in a live venue will enabled the listeners to hear the crowd and get a real sense of the atmosphere.

“We’ll mix the music with the international DJs coming through the doors,” he added.

His DJ mixes on YouTube have attracted over four million views, and have been played by the likes of La Belle Musique, Earmilk, Dancing Astronaut and many others.

The mix below has had over 1.2 million views!

Reuben founded his Outhouse brand two years ago, and has a large following.

He burst onto the music scene as a teenager and soon made his mark.

His first single ‘Coming Up’ was signed up by Rhythm Masters’ Steve Mac and played by the likes of Sasha and John Digweed.

His imaginative approach has not gone unnoticed and he has many fans across the dance music spectrum, from Tiesto to Laidback Luke.

Recently, he has been spending time in the United States doing a lot of writing sessions, and also doing studio work in London.
