There were no notable beneficiaries as Roger Meehan's votes were distributed in the seventh count in the Donegal Electora Area.

Still out in front, Niamh Kennedy (Ind) gained 67 votes and is now on 1, 749. Noel Jordan (SF) remains very close behind with 81 transfers from Meehan to bring him up to 1, 690.

Micheal Naughton (FF) who gained 101 transfers is back in now third place on 1,336. He is followed by Barry Sweeny (FG) on 1,264; Michael McMahon (SF) on 1,190; John McNulty (FG) of 1,148 and Tom Conaghan (Ind) on 1,017.

There are also a few candidates hovering just below the 1,000 mark. They are Billy Grimes (Ind) on 989 and Seamus Maguire (Ind) with 939.

Eliminated

With the quota of 2,043 again not reached, Fianna Fáil's Philip McGlynn was therefore eliminated. And so it remains to be seen if his 582 transfers will boost fellow Bundoran candidate Michael McMahon. Or, if they will instead transfer to Fianna Fáil's Micheal Naughton. Any gain by Eimear McGuinness (FF) is unlikely to change the outcome of her election bid at this late stage. She looks set to be eliminated after the next count if as seems likely, the quota is not reached.
