A singer-songer writer who lives in Barnesmore near Donegal Town is set to make an appearance on the Voice of Ireland this Sunday.

Tara Gannon Carr is originally from Clonbern, County Galway but has lived for many years in Donegal along with her family. She is well known in the area and is highly regarded in music circles.

If the huge outpouring of support on her newly-launched Facebook page Tara Gannon Carr is anything to go by, she should be a very popular contestant. Let’s hope the judges feel the same way about Tara’s voice!

Her blind audition airs this Sunday, January 18 from 6.30pm on RTE 1.
