Donegal YMCA's Support, Training and Enterprise Programme (STEP) in Letterkenny is currently recruiting for its August 2018 to June 2019 programme.

The 47-week full-time program offers a full FETAC/QQI Level 4 major award in employment skills.

There are components in communications, work experience, career planning, customer service, information technology, computer applications, functional maths, understanding interculturalism and team working.

There are also two work placement components totaling six weeks within the course.

The aim of the program is primarily aimed at early school lever who are unemployed and between the ages of 17-25 years, having left school at least six months previously.

Participants receive the equivalent of SOLAS training allowances and also receive a transport and meal allowance.

The course is funded by the Department of Education and Skills and the European Social Fund.
