The Environmental Protection Agency issued a temporary ban (June 11th – June 13th) on bathing at Lady’s Bay in Buncrana due to “suspected contamination from extreme weather/flooding”.

Lady’s Bay is a popular spot with locals and tourists and had ‘good’ water quality levels in the 2012 and 2013 bathing seasons, however, the beach lost its ‘Green Flag’ in 2013 and did not manage to regain it this year.
