A heartfelt appeal has been issued for the safe return of a much-loved family pet. Alfie is a brown and white Springer Spaniel who has been missing since Sunday, May 4th from the Lifford, Murlough / Raphoe area.

He is described as a ‘playful and friendly’ dog and he was wearing a blue oversized collar at the time he went missing.

Alfie has been micro chipped and anyone who finds a dog similar to Alfie is asked to bring them to the vets to check for a tag.

There were reports that Alfie was spotted in Fanad on Monday May 5th but there have been no further updates since.

There is a reward of €500.00 offered on DoneDeal for his safe return.

If you have seen Alfie or have any information contact Matthew Coyne on 086 247 7155 or 087 687 7121 or Strabane Veterinary Clinic on (00353) (0) 28 7138 2636.
