The Irish Coastguard helicopter is expected to make a special trip to Tory Island today.
The regular ferry service has not run for a number of days.
According to the Coast Guard, the helicopter will bring over some food supplies.
It will also bring a number of people out to the island from Carrickfin Airport as well as bringing some islanders who have medical appointments back to the mainland.
