Insomnia Coffee Company will open a new store in Letterkenny, tomorrow, Thursday, 13th December. 

Located in the Cathedral Quarter, this is Insomnia’s first store to be open in the county. 

Insomnia Coffee Company has become an iconic Irish brand and is well known to coffee lovers across the country offering hot beverages, sandwiches and snacks. The company which started in 1997 has grown rapidly and now has over 150 stores including eighteen stores in the UK. Speaking about the opening, Harry O’ Kelly, CEO of Insomnia “I am delighted to open our first store inLetterkenny, I’m sure this new shop in the shopping centre will be very popular and become a local hub.”

The store design reflects Insomnia’s coffee heritage whilst also taking and combining inspiration from vintage tea shops and industrial urban lofts. A welcoming and comfortable space using fabrics and natural finishes punctuated with quirky and fun branding evokes a great ambience. Alongside this is wall branding with coffee inspired messages, wall galleries and book shelves that operate a popular book swap system where apart from enjoying a book to read while having a coffee in store, customers can take a book away and all they have to do is leave a book to stay.

The store will provide employment for five new members of staff. Egle Maciulyte, the store manager, has worked in the hospitality and coffee industry for 9 years and speaking about the opening: “Insomnia is such an iconic Irish brand and with so many career opportunities – I’m thrilled to be working in such a friendly environment!”

The full Insomnia menu will be available including Insomnia Voyager coffee and the new Christmas range which includes the Gingerbread Latte/Cappuccino, Golden Caramel Hot Chocolate and the best seller Red Velvet Cake amongst other tasty treats.
