Famous Inishowen bistro Nancy’s Barn is set to represent Ireland in the World Chowder Championships in Rhode Island, USA.

Chef and owner of the restaurant in Ballyliffin, Kieran Doey will be cooking chowder for Ireland on Saturday June 10th.

The team at Nancy's Barn said he will be planning to do their customers proud. "It's a honour to even get this far," they said.

1,500 people are expected at the World Chowder Championships, which means producing 100 gallons of the award-winning chowder.

In April 2016, Kieran Doey of Nancy's Barn won the 6th annual All-Ireland Chowder Cook-Off in Kinsale.
