THE three local Church leaders in Killaghtee Parish - Fr James Sweeney, Rev John Purdy and Rev Ruth West - are to lead a Good Friday Walk starting at Dunkineely Methodist Church at 1pm, pausing at Killaghtee Church of Ireland and finishing at Bruckless Chapel around 2pm. They are looking for members of the parish from all church backgrounds and none to join them as they carry a cross from Dunkineely to Bruckless to mark the special day of Christ’s death shared by all Church traditions. Don your walking boots, trainers, bring the children and make it a family outing if you wish.  It’s a great opportunity for everyone to get together and take some exercise whilst remembering the meaning of Good Friday. Garda support will keep walkers safe on the main road, but once you reach Darney, the route leads along back roads and by Bruckless shore.
