Killybegs Sea Angling Club held their annual May “Species” Competition on Saturday 5th May, with 21 Anglers fishing the event in 3 boats – The Evie Rose with Adrian Molloy, Leah-C with Michael Callaghan and the Meridian with Brian McGilloway.

The event was fished in excellent weather on the day from 9.00am to ‘Lines Up time at 4.00pm

With 16 separate fish species being recorded overall. Winner of the Competition and Best Angler

Mr Cornie Devlin, Culdaff who caught 12 individual Species, Best Junior was lady angler Ms Riin Mc Clave with  5 species.

Presentation of prizes was in the Harbour Bar, Killybegs, Owner Mr Michael Herrity Who sponsored the prizegiving event

With complimentary Tea, Coffee and Sandwiches for All participants, for which the Killybegs Club are extremely grateful

And which was much appreciated by all the Anglers and the Club.

The next Killybegs Annual International Sea Angling Festival is planned for 7th and 8th  July 2018.
