Application forms for inclusion on the Electoral Register, Special Voters List, Postal Voters List and the amended Electoral Register are available on checktheregister.ie. Forms are also available from all local authorities, post offices and public libraries.
A few things to remember:
1.Remember your name must be on the electoral register in order to Vote. The registration form is available from your Local Authority, Post Office, Garda Station or Library.
2.If you are not sure you are registered you can check with your local authority or on the website www.checktheregister.ie
3..If you have moved house since you last voted – update your details with your new local authority and/or electoral area.
The last day that people will be eligible to register is Tuesday, May 8th 2019 for the upcoming elections.
The first amended register of electors has already been published for this year, but if you didn't include yourself on this one don't panic - you still have a chance to get on the register.
Anyone not included on the register can apply to be included on the supplement register by filling out Form RFA2, getting it stamped in your local Garda station, and handing it into your local authorities.
Opening times for your local Garda Stations are available from your District Headquarters.
Telephone Numbers for District Stations are:
Letterkenny – 074 – 9167100
Buncrana – 074- 9320540
