The inspirational Majella O’Donnell will launch "WAAR 2018" at a Health and Wellbeing evening this Friday.

WAAR - the Wild Atlantic Adventure Race - is for both the seasoned and experienced participant, to compete and challenge their own times and targets.

It comprises of four disciplines, Run, Bike, Hike and Kayak, with the longest route being 55.5K. It takes place on May 12th.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free launch Event, tomorrow, Friday, February 23rd at 6.30pm in Mullaghderg, where there will be a number of guest speakers.

Majella O’Donnell, TV personality, public speaker and author of best selling award winning book “It’s All In The Head” will also share her inspirational story on the night.

Details of the "Bigger & Better" 2018 Wild Atlantic Adventure Race will also be revealed.

Last year the Donegal's Wild Atlantic Adventure Race won a major award.

Ireland's Adventure Race Magazine ran an online poll to award the country's best adventure race medal, and WAAR came out top.

In recent years Donegal has fast become the Adventure Capital of Ireland with races in every corner of this scenic county with WAAR the Wild Atlantic Adventure Race being the biggest in the County.

WAAR is a fundraising event for CLG Naomh Muire.

Majella and her husband Daniel are currently getting huge reaction following their appearance on RTE's Room to Improve programme.
