A man has been brought to Sligo University Hospital after he was rescued from the Erne estuary.
The alarm was raised at around 12.00 noon today (Sunday) after the man was seen entering the River Erne in Ballyshannon.
A search got underway, with emergency services, Bundoran RNLI and the Rescue 118 helicopter rushing to the scene.
The man was taken from the water near the Mall Quay which was closed off for a time. He was then brought by ambulance to the helicopter which had landed at the local GAA grounds, Fr Tierney Park.
Rescue 118 took the man from there to Sligo University Hospital.
