Spraoi agus Spórt Family Centre Ltd, Carndonagh is to receive €10,000 in funding for after-school, weekend and holiday time activities for children with disabilities, from the Department of Health’s allocation through the National Lottery funds.

Minister of State, Joe McHugh Teachta Dála, welcomed the news : “I want to congratulate Spraoi agus Spórt on securing this much needed funding for the provision of activities for after school and weekends for children with disabilities. The service made available by the group is essential for the local community and for people with special needs or requirements, thus providing strong family and community bonds, as well as social inclusion, and I want to commend them on all their hard work in securing this funding"

"While their focus is on creating a safe and secure environment, they must also be commended for their encouragement of the promotion of the Irish language, and this funding received for the provision of extra services will be of huge assistance to them in the carrying out of this work”.
