Miss Universe Ireland 2018 is set to become first Irish woman to walk at Miami Swimweek.
Gráinne Gallanagh, who is from Donegal, the current Miss Universe Ireland, will tomorrow become the first Irish person to ever walk the Miami Swimweek catwalk.
The Buncrana native will represent swimwear brand, Liliana Montoya in their catwalk show which takes place on Thursday, July 11th at 7.00 pm Florida time.
Regarded as one of the top swimwear shows in the fashion calendar, only the best are selected to walk in the shows each year.
This will be Gráinne’s final event as the reigning Miss Universe Ireland.
The Donegal nurse won the highly sought after title in the Round Room of the Mansion House last year and has gone on to achieve huge success as an International model since.
Gráinne signed with London agency, BMA Models earlier this year following her historic top 20 finish at Miss Universe which took place in Thailand in December 2018.
Speaking about her experiences, she said, "I can’t explain the emotions that run through your mind when your name is called as the winner of Miss Universe Ireland. The shock, disbelief, delight, excitement. This has truly been the most incredible experience of my life. I had the absolute honour of representing my country at the most prestigious pageant in the world."
The countdown is officially on to the Miss Universe Ireland final which takes place on Thursday August 1st in the Round Room of the Mansion House. Hosted by James Patrice and Director Brittany Mason, one confidently beautiful woman will win the coveted crown and walk away with €70,000 worth of prizes and the honour of representing Ireland on the Miss Universe stage later this year.
