The Ballyshannon Drama Society has announced a night of comedy and drama this month as they present two one act productions, 'The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley' and 'Five Kinds of Silence.’

Following this home run, 'Five Kinds of Silence' will participate in the All Ireland One Act Festival circuit. The All Ireland One Act Festival will feature 11 of the best one act plays from around the country and will take place at An Grianán Theatre from Friday December 1 until Sunday December 3, 2017.

‘The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley’ is a hilarious, laugh-out-loud comedy about an amateur drama company in competition with a nearby rival group.

‘The Fat Lady Sings in Little Grimley’ by David Tristram, is directed by Ailis Mc Intyre. Starring in the play is Sean Mc Loone, Michael Daly, Emer Mc Shea and Mary Hoey.

‘Five Kinds of Silence’ is an in-yer-face theatre play by the playwright Shelagh Stephenson, published in 2004. It tells the story of a family living under the power of a vicious father. ‘Five Kinds of Silence’ will participate in the All Ireland One Act Drama festival circuit under the direction of Anne Mc Hugh. Please be advised, this play deals with mature themes.

‘Five Kinds of Silence’ by Shelagh Stephenson, is directed by Anne Mc Hugh. Starring in the play is Michael Mc Mullin, Rachel O'Connor, Louise Larkin, Audrey Davitt, Terence Mc Eneaney and Moya Ferguson.
