A vigil will be held on Lifford bridge to express solidarity with the Palestinian people after the recent outbreak of violence in the middle-east.

The vigil has been organised following a massacre of over 60 Palestinians by Israeli forces.

The latest bout of violence in the region comes after the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the opening of the new US Embassy in the disputed city.

Donegal County Councillor Gary Doherty urged the public to attend the rally: "At least 62 Palestinians have been murdered by Israeli State forces so far this week.

"Join us at Lifford Bridge to show solidarity and support to the Palestinian people and to condemn Israeli State terrorism.

"If you have Palestinian flags please bring them along."

The vigil will begin at 6pm.
