The death has taken place of well-known Letterkenny man Raymond Blake, following a short period of illness.

Proprietor of Blake's Bar in the centre of the town, he was a well respected and highly popular individual.

A keen supporter of Gaelic football, he was strongly involved with St. Eunan's GAA club and was a big follower of the club and also the county team.

He was also interested in many other sports, and had a considerable sporting knowledge.

His remains will repose at his late residence, 50 Upper Main Street, Letterkenny, from 12 noon tomorrow Sunday, March 17th.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, March 19th going to St Eunan’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
