Killybegs will today welcome the second of three cruise vessels to visit the Donegal port in the space of three days.
This afternoon the MS Black Witch (pictured above) is due to arrive in the south Donegal port, having come from Liverpool.
The ship, with over 800 passengers and around 400 crew, is scheduled to dock at 2.30 pm and will depart at 8.00 pm.
The ship is sleek, intimate and harks back to the days when cruise ships were revered for their style and charm, focusing on providing a traditional cruise experience rather than gimmicks seen in some more modern ships.
Yesterday, the ultra-luxury Seabourn Ovation - a €380 million new cruise liner - paid its first visit to Donegal.
And on Monday, the cruise season for 2018 will culminate in Killybegs when the Silver Wind pays a visit to the port which is now very much on the cruise map of western Europe.
It is due to arrive at 8.30 am. Silver Wind is a perfect illustration of how complete a small-sized ship can be. With just 296-guests, beautiful suites and spacious public areas, Silver Wind is one of the cosiest and most intimate ships afloat today.
