Traffic lights are still out of order at one of Letterkenny's busiest crossings and pedestrians have already commented on the danger of the situation.

The traffic lights at the Station Roundabout, Letterkenny (the Tesco's/Mr.Chippie area crossing) have been out of order for some time; Donegal County Council first reported the issued on their site on January 8th.

Pedestrians and vehicles have been asked to approach the crossing with care and it is likely that the lights may be out for a further two weeks!

Donegal County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to assure the public that every effort is being made to rectify the problem.

In the meantime, pedestrians have reported that the crossing is extremely dangerous to approach with many vehicles not slowing down on approach. One person commented, “I was trying to cross there yesterday and stupidly risked my life in doing so!”

While others have noted that those who are not from the town may be unaware of the problem and could be putting themselves at risk.
