Further wintry showers are expected across Donegal today, particularly this morning according to met.ie.
Though some sunny spells are forecast it will be mainly cold today with showers of snow and hail or rain expected. Temperatures will range 2 to 5 degrees Celsius in moderate westerly winds, turning fresh and gusty in coastal areas.
Tonight will turn very cold with a widespread sharp or severe frost developing in most parts. The wintry showers will continue in coastal areas though dry and clear spells will also develop overnight. Temperatures will plummet to between 0 and -4 degrees Celsius and light, variable winds will veer northerly turning strong on western and northern coasts later tonight.
