A period of warm summer sunshine seems guaranteed for the middle of the week
Met Eireann’s weather chart for Donegal tomorrow shows a full day of glorious sunshine.
The sun is due to rise at 4am and will burn brightly for 15 hours until it settles around 9pm, according to the State weather service.
It looks set to be sunniest between 11am and 3pm with top temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius.
Met Eireann stated in its latest regional forecast: “Dry on Thursday with a mix of cloud and good sunny spells. Any mist will burn off quickly.”
It added in its longer range forecast: “The mainly dry and settled weather will continue up to the weekend at least, as high pressure prevails over Ireland.
“Other than a little drizzle near northwest coasts, Thursday night will be dry and mild with light winds.
“Friday will be a fine and dry day almost everywhere with varying cloud and good sunny spells.”
Jean Byrne said during her weather bulletin: “High pressure will dominate for the next several days, up to and including Saturday.
“Good sunshine in most, if not all, areas.”
There is uncertainty about Sunday but “clouds with outbreaks of rain” are likely.
