Tony Quinn and TV personality Noel Cunningham have officially launched the Wild Atlantic Way charity cycle at Nancy’s Bar in Ardara.
Kildare native Tony Quinn is undertaking the 11 day solo charity challenge in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation, and will be joined for the final leg of the cycle by former Donegal GAA footballer Kevin Cassidy.
Tony will commence his cycle of the Wild Atlantic Way in Kinsale, Co. Cork on August 24 passing through Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal before finishing in Co. Derry on September 4.
Tony’s partner, Jenny McHugh who runs Nancy’s Bar in Ardara, will follow Tony on the cycle in a support car.
The cycle serves to highlight the significance of the Irish pub to the Wild Atlantic Way as not only will pubs be central to serving tourists along the route, but it will also cater for all of Tony’s accommodation and food along the way.
