A number of Donegal women have helped to set a new Guinness World Record for the world's largest 'skinny dip'.
Organisers of the "Strip and Dip" - which took place in Co. Wicklow  - say that 2,505 women were adjudicated by a Guinness World Records official to have spent at least five minutes in the water. The previous record was 786 participants. That was set at South Beach in Perth, Australia, in March 2015.The swim was in aid of cancer charity Aoibheann's Pink Tie which was started in 2013 by Dublin woman Dee Featherstone,  just weeks after her own mastectomy.

To date the event has raised in excess of €150,000.

It has attracted considerable publicity.

One of the participants from Donegal was Bronwyn Walsh.

She posted the following message on facebook.

She was also featured in a piece on line on the Irish Times website.

The event was covered not just by the media in the Republic, but also by BBC Northern Ireland.

And it has attracted big attention.
