Finn Harps were in action tonight in the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup first round against Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.
The game has gone to extra time as the score after 90 minutes finished:
Bray Wanderers 1 , Finn Harps 1
Bray began well and after early chances for Paul O'Conor and Ger Pender, they took the lead on 15 minutes.
O'Conor slipped the ball into the path of Pender inside the box and he finished with real conviction as he fired past the diving Ciaran Gallagher, who went into the match having kept a club record six consecutive clean sheets.
But Harps came into the game before the break with Nathan Boyle and Mikey Place looking increasingly threatening.
Indeed on 37 minutes Place was through on goal but instead of shooting opted to try and pull the ball back for Jesse Devers but Bray cleared.
Moments later a John Kavanagh cross glanced off the woodwork as Harps went close to equalising.
Darragh Noone fired just wide of the target on 43 minutes as Bray had a chance of a second.
While Bray were sharper early on, Harps improved as the half progressed.
Chances were at a premium just after the break but Harps drew level on 64 minutes with defender Sam Todd (below) shooting beyond Eavn Moran as he latched onto a Ciaran Coll throw-in.
Byron O'Gorman then raced in on goal after 73 minutes - as Harps' pleas for handball fell on deaf ears - but Gallagher came out well and the Bray player could not find the target.
With the prospect of extra-time looming, both sides pushed for a winner in the final ten minutes.
Gareth Harkin had one last gasp chance for Harps but fired wide and so the game went to extra-time.
